lyrics

Poems in the Sand

Wouldn't it be courageous
Wouldn't it be great
If the world could see life isn't all just a human race
and then all our wasted years
may have a chance to flower again

Won't you risk your life
won't you take your chance
would you turn a blind eye if death came to take you by the hand
Fix your gaze straight ahead
Stop only for the poems in the sand

Well do you want to come on a holiday
Under a willow tree we'll stay
Walk on the beach at night, live in the ocean by day
And then all our wasted years
May have a chance to flower again

Could we stop a world war
By raising our hands
Could we divert death as he stares at our fellow man
Fix your gaze straight ahead
Stop only for the poems in the sand
